About Us

About comeex

COMEEX Machine Tools has been a leader in machine tool building since the 1970s.

Our highly skilled workforce possesses hands-on expertise in building CNC machines and has worked with various multinational corporations in sales and service.

We utilize RENISHAW XL-80 and QC20 to calibrate machines, ensuring they meet the standards set by ISO, VDI, ASME, GB/T, and JIS. During the laser calibration process, a pitch error table is generated, allowing us to minimize errors based on the machine’s response. Any potential mechanical discrepancies are identified, and we advise customers on the necessary corrective actions.

With a background in CNC Machine Tool Building, we offer suggestions for remedies as a goodwill gesture to ensure customer satisfaction.

HOW WE work?

In order to assess the current condition of the machine, we conduct two runs of the machine/axes in its “AS IS” state. Following this, we establish calibration-related parameters and set the table to “ZERO” before conducting another two runs of the machine/axes.

Once the compensation table and other necessary parameters are inputted, we proceed to take the final five runs of the machine to determine positional accuracy, repeatability, and backlash of the respective axes.

Our comprehensive report includes:

– Cumulative Error Sheet
– Summary of Observations and Suggestions
– Graphs in accordance with VDI DGQ3441 standards
– Statistics Chart detailing overall readings and deviations
– Volumetric Ball Bar Test report

Through this thorough assessment process, we are able to provide a detailed analysis of the machine’s performance and identify any areas for improvement.

QC20 ballbar testing offers significant performance and operational benefits:

Ballbar Testing

It provides a simple, rapid check of a CNC machine tool's positioning performance to recognised international standards (e.g. ISO, ANSI/ASME, etc). This allows users to benchmark and track the condition of their machines, and to quickly diagnose problems that may require maintenance.

Reports

These reports give a value for a single overall indicator of machine positioning performance, e.g. circular deviation.

Many reports can be customised and can deliver an in depth diagnosis of a machines errors; all from a single test.

FAQ

Frequently Ask Questions

  • Machine tools need to maintain a standard of precision and accuracy for consistent production. With time and wear, machine tools are bound to develop discrepancies inaccuracy.
  • To identify the level of deviation and to bring it to an appropriate standard.
  • Machine has been newly set.
  • Parts run by the machine have slowly become out of tolerance.
  • Machine has recently crashed.
  • Machine has recently been moved or shipped to another facility.
  • Laser calibration should be performed after any major mechanical work is done to a machine's axis. This includes new ballscrews, gearing or feedback changes. If your machine must be used to perform accurate work, then you should consider laser calibration. The laser not only shows you how accurate your machine is but can be used to compensate for inaccuracies.
  • Laser interferometer enables measuring distances down to submicron levels with the wavelength of laser light as the foundation. With suitable optics, a thorough check on a machine checks like linear positional errors, pitch, repeatability, reversal errors yaw and straightness errors in slide motion and squareness among axes can be made for positional and geometrical accuracy. In concurrence with a Rotary calibrator, Laser Calibration System can be used to calibrate Rotary axis also.
  • Faster data capture

Laser Measurement Systems have higher data capture speeds of up to 5000 Hz, which are used for dynamic measurements like Velocity and Acceleration of slides, which reveal drive errors and stick-slip motion.

  • Online and instantly available data

Laser calibrations are performed with the help of computers.

  • Making accurate adjustments

With all the support of the technology of laser calibration, the corrections made on machines can be trusted to be the most accurate. This reinforces your machines capability to produce accurate components.

  • Checking alignment

Ensuring proper alignment of the machine before calibration is important before starting the calibration process. The services include alignment of guideways, guide rails, bores, guide tracks, etc.
